This can be in the form of actionable information to help other people grow their business or some type of free information. You can always add a link to your product at the bottom if the subreddit allows it, but you may be better off adding your link in the comments during conversations where you’re answering questions.
Follow The 90/10 Rule – This essentially means that 90% of your posts and content should be providing value and the other 10% can be talking about your own business. I would venture to say that on Reddit even 10% may be too much, to play it safe you could go closer to 5%.
Be Transparent – Reddit can sniff out promotional content better than almost any other community. Be transparent that you own the company you’re mentioning as trying to hide it will not only get people to turn against you but will get you banned from most subreddits, even the ones that allow promotion.
Post In The Right Subreddits – Promoting your business in the right subreddits is key. This can mean promoting your travel business in the travel subreddit that allows promotion or posting your startup in the Startups Promotion subreddit.
